On October 10th, Humboldt & Area seniors were treated to a day of lunch and learning at our one-stop educational event held in partnership with Caleb Village. Information booths were present and complimentary blood pressure tests were available courtesy of Country Care. Attendees listened to presentations from professionals in their fields on the topics of:
Fire safety/getting up from a fall, presented by Humboldt Fire Department
Scooter safety/bylaws presented by Humboldt’s Community Safety Officer
Flu & Covid vaccines and medication review, presented by Shopper’s Drug Mart Pharmacy-Humboldt
Importance of early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, presented by Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan
Health Care Directives, presented by Weber & Gasper Law
Imprtance of staying active, presented by Forever In Motion
Fraud Prevention, presented by Conexus Credit Union Humboldt.
